The four library services play a major role in the provision of evidence-based information for patient care across Coventry & Warwickshire. This project is a great example of partnership working in the NHS, as it will bring together the collections of some of the region's top health libraries.
Dr Humphrey Dunn, the head of Knowledge Services for University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust and the lead librarian on the project, explained that: "Our libraries put the patient at the center of everything we do. Unicorn was chosen primarily to ensure that our staff and students have easy and timely access to knowledge resources. Having gained access, they are then enabled to use that knowledge for the benefit of the patients in our hospitals."
