SirsiDynix welcomes new vice president of product management
We're pleased to introduce our new vice president for product management Mike Zackrison, who joined our SirsiDynix team this week. We've been very impressed with Mike, and we're confident that you will quickly sense his enthusiasm for working with our SirsiDynix team and serving our great libraries worldwide. Mike's experience working with a broad scope of software platforms and services across the academic sector will prove valuable in his work with SirsiDynix academic, special and public library customers alike.
Mike is fun, engaging and bright and will be a great asset as we work together to deliver high-quality, innovative software solutions to meet the needs of our valued library customers. Mike Zackrison, Vice President of Product Management
Mike Zackrison brings a strong background in product management and marketing leadership to his new role as vice president of product management at SirsiDynix. Having spent more than a decade working on major academic software systems – learning management systems (LMS), student information systems (SIS), enterprise portal and content management systems – Mike understands the needs and collaborative nature of the knowledge enterprise. Prior to joining SirsiDynix, Mike worked on behalf of University of Southern California as lead product manager for the Kuali Student software project. Prior to that, Mike served as vice president of marketing and strategy at rSmart, leading marketing and product management for the education-developed open source application company. Mike also was vice president of product management for Unicon, Inc., where he established key partnerships with Oracle Corp. and Zimbra to expand service offerings to the academic market. Finally, while working for SunGard Higher Education, he was a member of the original Campus Pipeline product team that conceptualized and launched the SCT Luminis product line, the leading enterprise portal solution in higher education.
In addition, Mike has experience in product management, strategic planning, and sales and marketing at technology companies such as Ingenix (a division of United HealthGroup), TenFold, and U.S. Robotics Corp. (acquired by 3Com). He received his MBA in marketing and entrepreneurship from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and bachelor degrees in finance and German from the University of Utah.
