When we announced the SirsiDynix Technology Centre concept last year we knew this would be a big undertaking that would transform our customers’ experience. The goal was simple. We wanted to bring together our worldwide teams that are responsible for a great customer experience, from customer support to development, into our headquarters so they could rapidly collaborate and innovate, giving you fantastic products and the best support experience in the industry.
This week we’re proud to announce we’ve fulfilled this vision. After 18 years at 400 W. Dynix Drive in Provo, SirsiDynix relocated the company’s headquarters to brand new, high-tech, LEED-certified corporate headquarters. The new SirsiDynix Technology Centre, which is located on the edge of Salt Lake City, features a host of new innovations.
The state-of-the-art customer training center is a 40-person classroom environment where you can follow instructor-led training and practice on live systems all while you enjoy 180◦ views of the Wasatch mountain range. As well, the room is located right next to the implementation and training teams, allowing you to interact with them, sharing ideas and asking questions about your system implementation, migration or upgrade.
In addition to the training center, the new innovation lab is a fantastic place for customers and prospects to try out SirsiDynix products in a simulated library setting. The lab includes an extensive mobility station where you can use SirsiDynix mobile products including BookMyne and the SirsiDynix Social Library solution on iPads, iPhones, an Amazon Kindle Fire tablet, and an Android phone. Another area features Macs and PCs equipped with tools used by patrons and students, including SirsiDynix Enterprise and Portfolio. The main station includes Macs and PCs where library staff can test out Symphony and other library operations software such as Directors Station, SirsiDynix Voice Automation, and SMS messaging. Finally, to round out the complete library experience, you can use SirsiDynix technology to search for a catalog item, download it, or find it in our RFID-tagged books around the office using map printouts, then scan and checkout the item using Bibliotheca ITG’s Orion RFID Self-check Kiosk. The innovation lab also includes Bibliotheca ITG’s Staff Station, materials sorter, and RFID gates.

The SirsiDynix Technology Centre has direct freeway access to the Salt Lake City airport, a major hub for Delta Airlines with non-stop service to 109 destinations in North America, Europe and Asia, including Paris and Tokyo. And we’ll ensure you have a great experience in and out of the Technology Centre. Just a block away is the Marriott Springhill Suites hotel along with shops, restaurants, and the world’s largest dinosaur museum.
The results of the SirsiDynix Technology Centre have been a huge success already. We have around-the-clock support in multiple languages for our customers around the world; we’ve implemented great new systems such as the new customer support portal that we launched this year; and we share best practices and collaborate on a daily basis. The results have been nothing short of spectacular. Our customer satisfaction scores for support are the highest we’ve ever reported.
Now the final piece of the vision for the SirsiDynix Technology Centre is done with our new global headquarters. We hope to see you here soon.
