COSI, or Customers of SirsiDynix International, EMEA is an independent user group for libraries and other organizations using SirsiDynix products financed through institutional membership subscriptions. Inaugurated in December 2008, it is formed from the old European Unicorn User Group (EUUG), the Dynix User Group (DUG) and the Horizon User Group (HUG) and promotes communication among users and systems administrators to increase awareness of local development initiatives. The group holds an annual conference to allow the user community to exchange knowledge and ideas as well as facilitate networking opportunities. COSI EMEA offers a mechanism to represent the interests of SirsiDynix users in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) and to maintain a constructive and collaborative relationship with SirsiDynix. COSI EMEA works with SirsiDynix to influence system development for the benefit of EMEA customers. For more information, visit the COSI EMEA website. Additionally, for users specific to France, there is the AUSIDEF user group; and for Germany-specific users, there is HUG DE (Horizon User Group Deutschland).
The Customers of SirsiDynix Africa User Group (COSAUG) was established at the Universal Knowledge Software (UKS) Africa User Group Meeting held on the 11 November 2009 at Development Bank of Southern Africa Auditorium, Midrand, South Africa. COSAUG is an independent user group that acts as a forum for discussion and interaction between African libraries and other organisations that are customers and users of SirsiDynix products. This user group also serves as a communication channel with members of Universal Knowledge Software (UKS).
