April 9, 2026, LEHI, UT— SirsiDynix, a leading provider of library technology, is pleased to announce that the Libraries Board of South Australia (LibrariesSA) have signed a multiyear agreement that will extend their long-standing partnership with SirsiDynix and expand their suite of SirsiDynix solutions for public libraries within South Australia.
A valued SirsiDynix customer and trusted collaborator for more than 13 years, LibrariesSA comprises more than 130 public libraries across South Australia and serves more than 1.8 million residents. As South Australia’s premier library ecosystem, the statewide library network, known as the One Card Consortium, has been sharing services, resources, and collections for more than 40 years.
In their tenure as a SirsiDynix customer, LibrariesSA has continued to hone this commitment to equity, collaboration, and knowledge sharing. In 2012, they launched OneCard, a centralized shared system that provides customers with seamless access to more than three million items. They’ve also been a key partner in developing the framework for SirsiDynix’s BLUEcloud Acquisitions module to further enable the company’s uniquely flexible approach to consortia requirements.
Now, LibrariesSA and SirsiDynix are ready to embark on the next phase of their partnership. Importantly, this new chapter includes welcoming the State Library of South Australia to the statewide One Card Consortium, significantly strengthening the scale, depth, and research capability of the statewide system. The inclusion of the State Library will bring almost 1.2 million new items into OneCard, over 67,000 electronic journal titles available across more than 80 databases, and 7,724 National eDeposit titles published in SA—connecting South Australia’s largest public research library with communities across the state.
The multiyear agreement between SirsiDynix and LibrariesSA will deliver new technology to the Consortium, too. To enrich their already robust array of collections and enhance their discoverability, LibrariesSA will implement CloudSource+, a comprehensive content and discovery services platform that unites one billion closed-access records with a dynamic and growing collection of open access (OA) and open educational resources (OER).
The agreement also includes the addition of Single Sign-On (SSO) to simplify access, and the BLUEcloud eResource Management (eRM) platform to streamline workflows.
“For over a decade, we’ve collaborated with SirsiDynix to deliver intuitive, comprehensive library services to communities across South Australia,” says Megan Berghuis, Director State Library of South Australia. “This next phase—bringing the State Library of South Australia into the LibrariesSA network and expanding our digital and discovery capabilities—represents a major step forward. We are excited to harness the robust array of resources SirsiDynix’s recent acquisition brings to the table and to continue enhancing discovery, enriching our collections, and providing equitable, engaging access to the people of South Australia for years to come.”
“After years of working closely with LibrariesSA to adapt SirsiDynix offerings to better serve their staff and customers—and bring a streamlined, centralized discovery experience to customers at public libraries across South Australia—we are thrilled to enter this next stage of growth and possibility,” states SirsiDynix Executive Vice President Mike Nehren. “From driving innovation to championing equal access to fostering community engagement, LibrariesSA exemplifies both visionary leadership and dynamic partnership. We are honored to continue our collaboration, and we can’t wait to see what LibrariesSA accomplishes next.”
