Enhanced content and user interface skins unveiled with Enterprise 3.1

Provo, Utah, April 27, 2010 – SirsiDynix®, the world leader in library automation technology, today announced SirsiDynix Enterprise™ 3.1 release is available. The features announced with this most recent release of the powerful search and discovery product give libraries more tools to create an engaging environment for patrons as they explore library collections.

When library users search their library’s catalog through Enterprise, they get results beyond just physical materials. Enterprise offers the power of faceted and federated search and “fuzzy logic” deciphering, bringing the expanse of libraries’ substantial physical and electronic resources to user fingertips.

Enterprise 3.1 allows libraries to integrate Syndetics ICE™ (Indexed Content Enrichment) from Bowker®, the leading source for bibliographic information. ICE™ content such as reviews, cover images, tables of content, awards data, fiction profiles, excerpts, summaries and author notes can be indexed and accessed through Enterprise searches, driving more search results and improved relevancy rankings.

Features in this release include:

  • Social networking and review application integration capabilities.
  • Customizable, end‐user help guides.
  • Enhanced view of federated search results.
  • Skins available for libraries to use for different Enterprise appearance options.

Enterprise is available for libraries using either SirsiDynix Symphony or Horizon.
