Mono County Free Library Selects SirsiDynix’s Symphony as New ILS

August 26, 2026, LEHI, UT— SirsiDynix, a leading provider of library technology, is pleased to announce that the Mono County Free Library has selected Symphony, one of the most widely installed integrated library systems (ILS) in the world, as their new ILS.

With seven public branches, two law libraries, and a unique focus on education, the Eastern Sierra–based library sought a system that could support their distinctive community and enhance their approach to public service. They found an ideal match by pairing Symphony with an array of web-based BLUEcloud products.

In addition to bringing the power of Symphony to a sleek, intuitive, next-generation interface, this robust combination also offers industry-leading customer support, rich functionality, and ample opportunities for customization.

Plus, complementary applications, including BLUEcloud Analytics, an enterprise-class reporting tool; MobileStaff, a versatile circulation companion; and Enterprise, a highly configurable discovery platform, will work in tandem to help the Mono County Free Library automate reporting, manage inventory, and enrich the patron search experience.

“For more than six decades, Mono County Free Libraries has been steadfast in its commitment to enriching our community through free access to information, technology, and programming,” says Josef Bopp, Director of Libraries. “We are pleased to announce this partnership with SirsiDynix in continued pursuit of that mission. This collaboration will provide our staff with tools that enhance operational efficiency, enabling them to dedicate greater attention to patron support and engagement, while ensuring our community has equitable and effective access to essential resources, programming, and opportunities for connection.”

SirsiDynix Executive Vice President Mike Nehren agrees: “It is an honor to embark on this journey with Mono County. We believe deeply in their commitment to cultivating community throughout the Eastern Sierra, and we couldn’t be more excited to provide the Library with solutions that help empower staff, inform patrons, and forge connections, across branches, teams, and residents, for years to come.”
