City of Irvine Public Library System Ushers in Exciting Change with SirsiDynix’s Symphony on SaaS

January 13, 2026, LEHI, UT— SirsiDynix, a leading provider of library technology, is pleased to announce that the City of Irvine Public Library has selected Symphony on SaaS as their new integrated library system (ILS).

Founded in 2025, the library system is already driving big change for their community. In 2024, they transitioned library operations from the Orange County Public Library (OCPL) system. Now, they’re delivering a more personalized, locally focused approach to library services at two City-run branches, both of which opened in August 2025. Plans for future expansion, including the debut of a third branch early this year, are close on the horizon.

For the new system, which is committed to ensuring equitable access to resources and creating dynamic spaces that foster civic engagement, an ILS that could support their rapidly growing population of 300,000+—and evolve alongside them—was paramount. With Symphony on SaaS, Irvine Public Library will enjoy rich, adaptable features and functionality, industry-leading security certifications, and exceptional customer service.

Additional SirsiDynix products, like Enterprise, a robust discovery platform, and BLUEcloud Circulation, an intuitive patron services interface, will work in tandem to streamline staff workflows and elevate the user experience.

“We are thrilled to partner with SirsiDynix to deliver a strong, comprehensive approach to information access and resource management through their robust suite of services,” says City Librarian Julie Zeoli. “Providing Irvine residents with equitable access to information and streamlined services remains a core value for us, and we are confident that the quality and reliability of SirsiDynix’s offerings will significantly enhance our community’s experience,” she adds.

SirsiDynix Executive Vice President Mike Nehren agrees: “We believe wholeheartedly in the City of Irvine Public Library’s mission to encourage lifelong learning through access to books, technology, and programming, and are honored for the opportunity to not only support that mission, but provide the best library user experience possible. It is a true privilege to welcome City of Irvine Public Library as a valued partner.”
