WATFORD, UNITED KINGDOM (Sept. 22, 2011) – SirsiDynix, the world’s leading provider of library technology solutions, has been selected as a successful bidder in Lot 5 of the Local Government Software Application Solutions (LGSAS) Framework tender. SirsiDynix is now an authorised supplier in Lot 5 of the framework, which covers library, museum and leisure-related software application solutions for local government, the NHS and education establishments maintained by DCSF.

The new framework will deliver significant, sustainable savings across the public sector; deliver expert sourcing category and centralised data management; permit libraries to manage their spending more efficiently by directly approaching suppliers on the approved list; and generally enhance the effectiveness of the procurement process.

There is also an agreement in place between the Government Procurement Service and Pro5 which covers the five largest local government buying consortiums in the UK: CBC, ESPO, NEPO, WMS and YPO. If an authority prefers to deal with its local buying consortium, it is still able to take advantage of the Framework agreement.
