WATFORD, U.K. (MAY 2013) – From May 2013, SirsiDynix products and services will be offered as G-Cloud iii products via the Government Cloudstore.  All SirsiDynix products will be available via Lot 3 Software as a Service (SaaS).

Cloud computing is becoming increasingly important to the Public Sector in the U.K. with rising demands on IT Departments despite smaller budgets. Government is committed to the adoption of cloud computing and delivering computing resources. The G-Cloud is an iterative programme of work to achieve this, which will deliver fundamental changes in the way the public sector procures and operates ICT.

“This award will be very welcome to our many Government library customers and prospects who are interested in high value, low cost solutions for libraries. Increasingly we are seeing requests from libraries to purchase through the G-Cloud framework as it offers an easy, reassuring method of purchasing products and services from us”, said SirsiDynix EMEA VP Barbara Pacut.

The new framework will deliver significant, sustainable savings across the public sector; deliver expert sourcing category and centralised data management; permit libraries to manage their spending more efficiently by directly approaching suppliers on the approved list; and generally enhance the effectiveness of the procurement process.

In addition to G-Cloud iii SirsiDynix are also an authorised supplier in Lot 5 of the Local Government Software Application Solutions (LGSAS) Framework tender.

There is also an agreement in place between the Government Procurement Service and Pro5 which covers the five largest local government buying consortiums in the UK: CBC, ESPO, NEPO, WMS, and YPO. If an authority prefers to deal with its local buying consortium, it is still able to take advantage of the Framework agreement. For more information, please contact sales-uk@sirsidynix.com.
