July 15, 2016, Lehi, UT—Local Utah library Highland City Library selects SirsiDynix Symphony for new ILS. Following a competitive tender process, Highland City Library chose to adopt SirsiDynix’s Symphony. In their migration away from Innovative Interfaces’ Polaris, Highland City Library chose to supplement their Symphony ILS with sophisticated SirsiDynix solutions, including Enterprise, MobileCirc, BLUEcloud Analytics, and SaaS.
Located at the base of the Rocky Mountains, Highland City Library (HCL) serves a population of just over 17,000. The library, formerly operating out of a junior high school, served both Highland and the city of Alpine. In 2008, HCL relocated to Highland City Hall, where the team has refocused their efforts to serve the community and further their mission to provide “all residents with access to information that educates, inspires, and entertains.” Citing their mission, Highland City Library Director Janae Wahnschaffe stated “The SD product holds additional potential for our growing library. We have been so impressed with the capabilities of the software, but even more important to us, the superior customer service and observation to detail SD has extended. We are thrilled with our new software and know we will receive anything we need in moving forward from our new friends at SD. Highland City Library is scheduled to go live at the end of August.
