The following customers recently chose SirsiDynix Enterprise:

“We’ve been looking for a discovery tool for a while and in our final analysis, SirsiDynix Enterprise was selected,” said George Sands, Director of the Caroline County Public Library in Denton, Maryland. “We were impressed with the fuzzy logic search capabilities, as well as the ability to add more electronic content and make it easily searchable. Enterprise seamlessly integrates with our SirsiDynix library management system and is designed to get us to the goals we’ve set for our community.”

“One of the things I initially liked about Enterprise was the facet functionality,” said Sean Farrell, Assistant Director of the Library of Hattiesburg, Petal and Forrest County, in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. “Ever since we’ve had our first catalog with a graphical user interface, I would encourage our users to utilize the Advanced Search. Instead, the users would always go to the simple search box. Now with Enterprise, the users go to the simple search box and the facets immediately allow the user to limit. This delivers accurate results quickly. It’s an advanced search without the user knowing they’re doing an advanced search. The Guided Discovery functionality is another area that we like in Enterprise. We will be able to continue to create local content, not typically available in library catalogs, and make it easy to access for our users. Finally, Enterprise will allow us to access electronic formats such as our local city ordinances that were not previously available to be searched, using their DiXML capabilities. I will be able to create custom content in DiXML format and have it indexed alongside everything else.”

SirsiDynix Enterprise empowers libraries to make their collections and external resources more accessible than ever before. Capitalizing on the industry’s first fuzzy logic search technology, Enterprise delivers leading-edge faceted search capabilities, simplified search interfaces, guided discovery, mobile browsing, social networking, and many more features. Enterprise benefits users with a familiar single search box to make discovering easy, intuitive, and successful, accurate results despite misspellings, multiple languages to fit individual needs, and configurable themes to tailor the experience to the needs of individual user profiles.

Gary Rautenstrauch, SirsiDynix chief executive officer said: “In choosing Enterprise, these institutions demonstrate their dedication to ensuring that all members of their communities can take full advantage of library resources. As we embark on our most robustly-featured version, 3.0, we look forward to delivering new capabilities that will make it even easier for our customers to offer end users a useful and engaging interaction with the library’s collections and expertise. We welcome these institutions to the Enterprise community.”
