SirsiDynix launches global library support center
June 24th, 2010
PROVO, UTAH (June 24, 2010) – At a time when library resources are sparse and the demands placed on libraries are higher than ever, SirsiDynix, the world leader in library technology, is increasing its global customer support staff drastically in order to better serve the needs of its library customers. As part of this support initiative, the company is hiring more than 40 new support employees and offering 24-7 global library customer support from its Utah-based global headquarters beginning this week.
Since January, SirsiDynix has hired 18 new customer support staff members and it plans to add 40 additional in the coming weeks to aid in responding to library customer needs. The company will also be hiring several dedicated engineers to serve on the maintenance support development team, which provides emergency technical solutions and patches for unique library technology needs and circumstances.
“By growing our team and centralizing our support resources – whether they be in product-specific or technical specialties – we will be able to serve our libraries better and close issues faster,” said SirsiDynix Director of Client Care Scott Wheelhouse. “We’re excited about developing that level of support for our customers so that they, in turn, can better support the communities they serve.”
The new SirsiDynix Library Support Center at the company’s Utah headquarters will serve as a central hub for servicing all library customer needs, including technical and product support. In an effort to better serve its more than 20,000 library sites worldwide, the Center will be providing native language support for customers speaking Spanish, English, French, German and Mandarin. Customers overseas will benefit from the same level of personalized service they’ve come to expect, and employees will benefit from having technical and team resources just down the hall rather than across multiple time zones.
