PROVO, UTAH (July 27, 2011) – SirsiDynix Chief Executive Officer Matt Hawkins and other members of the SirsiDynix senior management team were pleased to be able to visit one of the newest members of the SirsiDynix customer family in EMEA last month. The House of Lords Library went live with the SirsiDynix Symphony® ILS in March.

Following the SirsiDynix COSI-EMEA User Group Conference in Birmingham, Hawkins and other members of the SirsiDynix team took the opportunity of being in London to visit the library and to meet key staff there involved in the project. Hawkins said he had heard about their work supporting the House of Lords, the second chamber of the British Parliament, and its members and the way SirsiDynix Symphony is being used to serve them to provide a modern, efficient library service.

“It’s great to be able to see our products being used in such a prestigious library where they can see the benefit of a reliable, industry-standard software,” Hawkins said. “We know that the long-term relationship we have with the House of Commons Library has helped convince the staff at the House of Lords that we can deliver on the promises we make. We are confident that they will be able to take advantage of the many exciting developments planned for SirsiDynix Symphony in the coming years.”

While the SirsiDynix team was in the area, they were also honoured to visit several other SirsiDynix customers including the House of Commons Library, Angus City Council, Bracknell Forest Borough Council, University of Bath, Huddersfield University and Robert Gordon University, among others in Britain. A visit was also made to the European Parliament in Brussels.
