SirsiDynix welcomes 107 library customers to SirsiDynix Symphony® family

PROVO, UTAH (December 15, 2010) – SirsiDynix celebrates the growing community of libraries using SirsiDynix Symphony® for their library automation, announcing 107 library systems selected Symphony in 2010. Included in that number are 80 customers that decided to migrate to Symphony from the company’s legacy LMS products, SirsiDynix Unicorn, Horizon, DRA and Dynix.

“Libraries are looking for technology that gives them what they need in the realities of today’s economy, but doesn’t restrict them from where they want to go tomorrow.” said Matt Hawkins, chief operating officer for SirsiDynix. “They are looking for hosted solutions, they are sharing resources, creating and joining consortia. To accomplish their goals, they seek an experienced technology partner.

“We are pleased to welcome 27 new customers to SirsiDynix, and are happy to see 80 long-time customers renew their commitment to work with us by migrating to Symphony.”

Among the customers new to SirsiDynix are: The House of Lords Library, United Kingdom; The City of Oshawa, Ontario, Canada; National Library and Information System Authority, Trinidad and Tobago; Aquinas College Library, Tennessee; and National Taiwan Sport University, Taipei City, Taiwan.

Existing SirsiDynix customers who selected Symphony include: North Vancouver City Library, British Columbia; Westminster College, Utah; Nashua Public Library, New Hampshire; St. Louis Public Library, Missouri; University of Manitoba, Manitoba; Pioneer Library System, Oklahoma; City of Westminster Libraries, United Kingdom; Westchester Library System, New York.
